About a mile from my home. I hear the cheering, announcer on the loudspeaker, the band, honking car horns.
But you know what? I’m not going to complain, because I’m not a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (Stef’s article about NIMBYs and Lime Rock). The above sounds? They’re part of what fun is. Part of the atmosphere. And honestly it just takes me back to a few short years ago I was in high school and used to attend the games with my at the time girlfriend and our friends.
Random post/rant, just to try and distract me from everything on my mind right now.
Here’s a 430 Scuderia for your time

I’m three blocks from my HS, and on the rare occasions when I stay home during home games, I can sure as hell hear them.

I get that too. All of the schools in my city, 10 schools in all, play in the same stadium which is on a ridge right above where I live. Surprisingly, the football games aren’t as bad as the battle of the bands.

Back home my neighborhood is just a couple of miles from a dirt track. Its pretty easy to hear when they race. Nobody ever complains though.

There’s a Lynyrd Skynyrd cover band playing at a frat house down the street from me.
They are loud.

There is a minor league baseball stadium about a mile from my house. During the summer we can hear home games. And when they win they shoot off some fireworks. After living here 4 years we have only been to one game.
